Bloody Jack: Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's

The Bloody Jack series is first adventure and second historical fiction. Set in England (and other places in the nautical world) during the Napoleonic War, Meyer slips history into the adventures of Jacky Faber. In my opinion, Jacky Faber is one of the greatest female characters and always fun to read. Because of some mature subject matter, I would recommend these books for older teenage readers.
