For those who enjoy fantasy of the old magic and dragon-slaying variety, Robin McKinley is a great author to read. In the Blue Sword, Harry is drawn into a magical world she only partly understands. As she learns more of Damar, she also becomes part of the war the Damarians and their king are fighting against evil. This is a classic tale with plenty of new twists to keep it interesting.
